| Switching from wellness help please My babies are all on wellness puppy formula in the can and the like it okay (they don't get to excited over it) The thing is i want to switch them to a dry food but i want it to be one with flavor because i have tried wellness dry puppy and they just don't like it i think it is to bland for them. The reason i think it is to bland is because our min pin tries to eat anything she can and i mean anything but when i put that in a bowl she sniffs it and walks away being that she is not a picky eater i am guessing it is just lacking flavor. I was hoping to switch to canidae dry but all i can find is all life stages is that for puppies to? I am asking because my vet said to make sure i keep the yorkies on puppy food for at least a year.

| Canidae is All Life Stages. Are you sure you want to switch from canned? The moisture is so good for them and it is less processed.

| Canidae is for all stages of life. I have been using it for years with no problem. I always like to start my younger puppies on Chicken Soup For The Puppy Lover's Soul because it is 28% protein which is a little higher than the Canidae and the kibble is a little smaller. Depending on how old you pups are you might need to grind the dry food in a blender so it is much easier to eat. I aways just leave out a small bowl of the dry food and twice a day take some dry food and add a little canned food (I like Pedigree Lamb and Rice Puppy) to make it a little moist. I have tried many other puppy foods and I really feel the Canidae and the Chicken Soup Puppy are the best. For my adults, they get a mixture of Canidae and Chicken Soup. |

| The problem is that i feed them the canned and if it sits for more than a few minutes they walk away it has to be fresh from the can and eaten right away or they won't touch it So i am wasting alot of food with feeding them canned

| Can't you give them 5 minutes to eat and refrigerate the rest?

| Oh i do trust me i have tried everything but the thing is they will eat a little walk away for maybe a whole 2 minutes and then come back and eat more but they just sniff it and look at me like mom this is old i want new stuff so then i take it dump it out and put a spoon full of fresh in and they eat it they are strange little bugers i have even tried dumping the old back in the can(without them seeing me of course) and then taking the spoon and spooning it into the bowl so they will think it is fresh WRONG they know lol
