I only tried it for a while, b/c I wasn't to keen on feeding msg all the time. Just sprinkle a little bit onto the food. Maybe do this M-F and give a break on the weekends. Try for a couple of weeks, stop if it's not doing the trick :p |
Raw Oats Try giving your baby Raw Oatmeal. Not the instant type. I used to sprinkly maybe 1/2 tbsp on Maddies cottage cheese. It was probably a year ago, if I remember correctly I read a post on YT about this subject. Someone had mentioned the use of raw oats. I tried it and it seriously worked! For the first week I did it every day, second week every other day. I still give it to her once a week, just because she thinks it's a treat. :D - Jamie |
i still catch Ms.Tumi eating her poop once in a while..Gracie doesn't do it though.. |
When I asked the vet about Chloe eating poo, she asked "just her own or the other dog's too?" I said "both" Then she said "So she is not descriminating?" I was like "I thought we established that when I told you she eats poop!!":D |
I have 2 poo eaters here, Ihave tryed everything, my only soulotion is to watch them go and not let them eat it:rolleyes: so gross:eek: charlie stopped for a long time, and now that shy does it , he is back at it:eek: I wish there was a magic pill for this;) |
Thank you very much for the help. Of all the dogs that have come through this farm over the years I have never come across this problem. It may have happened with other pups, but pups have always been in the realm of my wife of 40 years and I just didn't hear about it. The care of throw away dogs that showed up were up to me. I am on my own now so this little fur ball is also up to me. I know our other Yorkie didn't do it but she was 5 1/2 tears old when she arrived. I was able to get down to the store and get some and be back in time for her evening meal. I'm starting with just a pinch or two and will increase a little at a time till I get the desired effect. I have been through several sections of the forum and that has helped with a lot but has also raised other questions. I am sure I'll be posting again soon. Thanks again |
I'm having the same trouble with two of my little girls. I've tried the pineapple and the cooked carrots, but that didn't seem to help either. Let me know if you find something that works for you! |
1 Attachment(s) 3 Yorkies here and one poop eater,, she is my smallest, most delicate looking ,, and a POOP EATER!!! SO gross,,lol,, we've tried For-Bid, (worked for a while),, but she just couldnt resist after a while,, and Distaste,, and Deter,, and all work for some time,, but then again,, she just can't resist!,, she only eats her own,, sniffs the others and its like EWWWW Nasty Stinky Turds!! I wouldn't Dare!! Vet told me to use meat tenderizer,, but my meat tenderizer (Adolphs),, has NO MSG,, so wont do me any good, but the Vet says his own dog (mini schnauzer) eats Cat Cookies!!! now that is REALLY Gross! lol but yep,, Cricket is over 2 and potty trained well but really gotta watch poop times!! Thankfully she is really regular, but there are times,, when she will just about FIGHT ya for it!! EEEEEEEEwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww,, lol,, but ,, Gotta Love Em!! :aimeeyork |
Stormy's nickname was Poo Poo Licker! she has finally grown out of it at 10 mths old. we had tried for-bid, it only worked for a lil while. Good Luck! |
Is One Of Your Yorkie White? |
Just wanted to let you all know I caught Roxy in the litter box with Chloe(the cat) grabbing her snacks before they even hit the litter! She always did like her food hot:p . |
The cuties are always the turd burglers! |

I have also heard that by adding apple cidar vinegar to their water will stop this. It also helps with teary eyes. I add 1 teaspoon to a quart of water. |
