That's funny! Mine get there mouth completely washed out! First I use about 3 to 5 of the dental pads, wiping teeth, roof of mouth, I shove that pad all the way back under their back teeth and make them bit down, I wipe their inside cheeks, along their gum lines. Then I brush their teeth really good. And then I spray Petzlife in their mouths. :mad:

WOWZA! You are quite ambicous!! If I did that everytime they ate a poop, I would have to do it every time they pooped basically! Ha ha.

There were times that I got irrate, b/c not 5 mins would go by after we just finished doing all that, that they ate it again :mad:

There were many days that I brushed teeth at least 4 times :mad:

But, now with them on their routine, things are a lot better :D

I am surprised the For-Bid didn't work. Everyone I have ever talk to prior to you swears by. Maverick is starting to eat poop, but not his. He will only eat Keely's which I find kind of weird.

According to what I have read online sprinkle some Tabasco on the feces and let the dog try to eat it. It won't hurt or harm the dog, just make the feces unappetizing to them. Kind of like putting vinegar on a childs thumb to stop them from sucking it.

Did that too! TJ LOVED IT! - I put hot sauce on the poop, inside the poop :mad:

Some things work for some while others not.

I wouldn't use For-bid ever again - it has Wheat Gluten in it and with that China scare...:(

Unfortunately, the Tabasco won't work on her either... Well, it did, but the first day we stopped putting it on her poop to see if she'll eat it, she ate it :rolleyes: We never bothered with the Tabasco again ... it's disgusting to look at the poop covered in hot sauce... plus the smell was AWFUL :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

And, you have no idea how much I wished for the For-bid to work, especially since the vet recommended it to us. We bought a TINY packet for $8 ... what a waste :rolleyes:

Okay.....THAT is even MORE mysterious - bc on NV, the poos get teeny, powdery, dry, and non-smelly (at least w/ both my dogs and most others I hear of) - so I'm surprised she's chowing 'em down! What flavor NV are you feeding (reaching for straws here...:D)?

Mine prefer the cats' poop. They manage to make it to the litter box and if I put it any higher, the cats won't be able to get to it. They find what is buried out back. Roxy can even dig in the frozen ground to get it - Remi just eats the left overs. Maybe if I put meat tenderizer on the cats food.........:p .

Yes that is the case, but it is still sorta fresh upon arrival (gross, I know) - so there's still the temptation, but at least it's not as big as normal food poops.

...I too switched to Raw hopeing to stop the poop eating. It did help, but didn't stop it, and b/c they have liver issues now, I had to change back to home cooked meals.

At this point, it's strictly behavioral issues as to why mine eat it. So I must get to it first :p

Yeah, I know. I was HOPING switching to NV would eliminate her poop eating entirely. Like I said, this is the first time she's done it since the switch (that I know of). Since switching her, her poop has become smaller, and she goes less frequently. I was a bit surprised when I saw all that poop on the pad this morning though ... I'd say around 6-8 pieces of small poop. She must've snuck in a couple while I was still asleep because when I saw the poop, I went to flush it down the toilet. She threw up about a half hour to an hour after it went down the toilet. When she threw up, it didn't reek of poop smell though (you could just see the CHUNKS of it)... but then again, I have a stuffy nose atm, so I can't smell anything :cool:

Anyhoo, I rotate her food with NV Venison & NV Rabbit. I'm staying away from the chicken because I have a strong feeling that that causes her allergies.

It's not just a yorkie thing..my papillon goes into the cat's litter box and eats their poop...it's sooo gross! I finally put the litterbox in the garage..but he still occasionally gets a hold of one :mad:

Its just weird how Chloe loves it! My other dogs don't want anything to do with Poop but Chloe acts like its a Truffle or something. Sniffs it out, chomps on it, gags, and licks her lips. Then I immediately run from her so I don't get her wicked turd breath.

Tiffy was a poop eater too and Nothing can be more disgusting :eek: The meat tenderizer did the trick for us!!

i cant beleve they eat poop its soooo funny lol coco has never done this but im sure i would cry if she did its too gross but hilarious hahhaah
