| More Problems So, I guess in addition to her corn allergy, Ellie has a beef allergy. She isn't getting it anymore because of her liver but had been in the last few days (after awhile of chicken as protein source). She has been a bit itchy in the last few days but this morning she woke me up scratching up a storm, ramming her head into the blankets (not head pressing...scratching), rubbing her face on everything. This time the synotic (anti-inflammatory for ears) isn't working and this is worse then her reaction to the corn. We tried going back to sleep and she would curl up and then have to change positions about every 30 seconds (not normal). She would lay on one side of me and go to the other side an dlay against me...strange. Then we fell asleep and I woke up to her vomiting. She threw up once but tried to about four more times (maybe just hungry...don't know). Then I was holding her while on the computer and she kept switching positions again. I thought she had to poop so I let her down. She did walks in circles a few times (scared now) but I took her out because that is normal behavior for pooping. She didn't go. I think maybe this beef was really hard on her liver. It must be that. I want her to get an allergy shot because she is driving me crazy but I don't know if the vet will give one since her BAT came back so high. We will go to the vet tonight or tomorrow if this doesn't let up. GRRRRRR

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Just read your other post too...I'm so sad for little Ellie. It is awful watching them suffer in any way. I wish I had advice. Have you tried fish at all (probably have)? What about a homeopathic remedy called ProAller - any interest in that angle? I'll link you to that nutritionist's products - I don't know if these will be on target or not, but I don't know what else to offer......http://www.askariel.com/pages.asp?pid=allergies

I can definately start her on that again though. You are all so nice for trying to help. I know it's frustrating when I see a Yorkie on here I can't help. The vet even says Ellie is a challenge and she doesn't know what to do with her... Hopefully the specialist will.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | But have you tried actual fish as the protein (sorry, I think my 1st post was kind of muddled) - like white fish instead of meat? I wonder how she'd do on just fish as the protein (no meat) for a month or so....ya think it's worth trying? I just don't know....

| I'm not an expert on this, but I will pray for her and you.

| I wish I knew. I think it would be acceptable but then I might as well go with chicken (she does well on it). A better choice for her liver would probably be egg or veggies protein. She does fine on egg but now she will be itchy for 60 days.
