| Is it ok to give apple chunks (like about 1/8 of an apple) as a treat? I'm not sure if it's got too much sugar in it or if it's a good thing for them.

| Gypsy's obsessed with apples right now. She's had a half of one day and the same a couple of nights okay. It's not upset her tummy or anything. I do peel it for her first though. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong that they can have them though, but I personally have had no problem with my Yorkie eating them.

| TJ and Roxy both get apple pieces after AM and PM meals. THEY LOVE THEM - Golden Delicious is their favorite. I peel and cut up 1/4 of the apple and hand feed them peices. So they each eat 1/2 of an apple a day |

| Mine love apples. Just peel them and make sure they don't get any seeds!

| It needs to be plain lowfat or nonfat. They say the sugars in the fruity ones & the sugar replacements in the diet ones aren't good for them.

| Apples are good - just be sure to cut them in small pieces and get rid of the core. The seeds contain small armounts of arsenic which is very bad for your furbaby! |
