Then we'll just pray that Dixie tolerates the meds and they work and allow Dixie to enjoy a good quality of life. Bless you for loving her enough to help her...so many people would have turned her back over to her breeder. Dixie will make it because of your love. My 1st Yorkie almost died 3 months before her 9th birthday...for three days she swung back and forth between life and death...when I walked into the vets office, she didn't even know me....she was so out of it, but I talked to her and kept talking to her...every two hours I went back to the vets office, and talked to her. Finally, on the 3rd morning, she was able to come home. My vet said she wouldn't make it to her birthday....well, he was wrong, she made it past her 13th..I told her every day...I NEED you. He said to me, every visit, "I don't know what you're doing, but keep on doing it". So, keep on doing it, Patti.

Hi, so sorry to hear about Dixies diagnosis. Don't be afraid, lets pray that the medicines will help, lets pray that Dixie will be herself in no time with these meds. I wonder if there is a dietary regimen that can help kidneys? I will keep you and Dixie in my prayers.

I asked the specialist if I shoud put her on special food and he said not yet. He wants her on puppy food so that she can grow and he doesn't want to change her diet while we are adjusting her to the meds. He did say she could get spayed when the tim was right but there are risks and he would want them done at the specialty clinic eventhough it is more costly he said they have the technology and monitoring 24/7 she would need. He said to let her come into her first heat and we will worry about it later.

Patti, I am so sorry to read this about Dixie...I know how excited you were to get her!! She knows how much she is loved, and she WILL pull through...I will pray for her...
