| Esme's eating problems fixed w/IAMS Savory Sauce Esme has never been the kind of dog to go right to her bowl and gobble it all up when I put it down. That has kind of always worried me because I was used to my moms dogs who DEVOUR their food within just a few minutes. I, on the other hand, have spend the past 6 months with Esme feeding her out of my hand and practically BEGGING her to eat. She's on Royal Canine. I finally decided I was just going to switch foods in hopes that she would like something else better. The girl at Petsmart gave me a bottle of IAMS Savory Sauce and told me to try it before I gave up on Royal Canine. So. for the past week, I've been squirting a little on her food and mixing it in. As it turns out Esme LOVES it. For a full week, she has been cleaning her bowl!!! I am very pleased and I am crossing my fingers that she doesn't get bored with it! If any of you guys are having trouble getting your babies to eat, you might want to give this stuff a try!

| My dogs love that savory sauce too. I put it over their dry food.

| Hate to disappoint you but I do used the flavored Iams, it worked for awhile, Gucci refuses to eat her dry food. So I have to mix human food in with the dry and only then does she eat. She loves my meatballs, lol and i mix them in as well from time to time. Lately, I have been mixing cottage cheese with little pieces of peaches or a little piece of banana.. My husband has gotten her use to table food. So I feed her before we have dinner then I know she has eaten her own food. But boy can she eat!! lol Thes little furbabies are definetly spoiled..... | On another forum I belong to, their is a vet tech there thats warns against using the Iam's sauce. She says she has seen and heard of many dogs gettin sick suffering with diarreha and vomiting that have been given it. Last edited by Breeze; 07-08-2005 at 06:12 PM. |

| i don't want to burst anyone's bubble or offend anyone.. but i do not support Iams at all.. they do cruel animal testing.. i know that some companies do animal testing.. but not to the extent to open up the animals while they are alive to see if their food damages any major organs.. www.iamscruelty.com just some information if you'd like to research more about it. |

| Gucci also used to like it, but then she just wouldn't. I never bought it again. After hearing about Iams cruelty to animals I just avoid getting anything form that company. |

| I tried IAMS before I knew about what they do to dogs. Stewie didn't like the beef or chicken flavored. I was surprised because my bro's dog eats it up like a mad man.

| I tried it with Maggie, and she had the worse case of runs in her life. Our bigger dogs, (Australian Cattle Dogs) wouldn't even eat their food with that stuff squirted on it. I finally poured it down the drain.

| There's another product that's almost exactly the same as the Iams called Vita Gravy.. I don't know whether that company tests on animals or not but if it doesn't, then it's a perfect substitute for the Iams.
