| feeding/potty schedule My puppy doesn't eat on the schedule i give her and i dont know if i should free feed her. like today, it is already 12:23 pm and she hasn't eaten since 7 pm last night. I do not want her to go into hypoglycemic shock. Should I give her nutri-cal for more calories, or what? I do give her a scoop of wet food at night with her dry which she adores but morning she doesn't eat it. should i give her some wet food in the morning as well? |

| I have always done free feed with Murfee and had no problem. I will admit to hand feeding him when he was little just 'cause he was sooooo cute. I am by no means an expert, that is just what worked for me. Good luck and welcome to yt.

| Unless the puppy was weaned onto nothing but dry, I think a bit of wet mixed in is good for them, especially if it is a high quality food. It took Gracie until she was more than a year old to be happy with just kibble in the morning. She still likes the canned mixed in for the evening meal. When Gracie was a puppy, she went on food strikes. She wouldn't eat anything except Nutrical. It was a phase that she got through eventually. Frustrating though!
