| Lucy gets hiccups often. Then she gets mad because she has the hiccups-like they are annoying her and she growls at them!

| hiccups My 8 month old Yorkie, Madi gets them often too. Not sure why though. Next time we are at the vet I am going to ask and she what she thinks. Madi does seem to get a little aggravated with them. I will post what my vet said about the hiccups.. |

| My two occasionally get them too...a vet once told me the way to relieve them is to put your yorkie on the floor, standing. Pick them up, put them back, pick them up, put them back down, etc. This up and down motion should reset their diaphragm

| KaCee has had two hiccup episodes tonight so I just did a search and found this thread. I'm glad to know it's fairly common. Have any of you talked to your vets about it? I feel so helpless, her whole body shakes with each hiccup!

| Mochi used to have lots of hicups when we first brought her home (4 months ago). I asked the vet and he said that it is normal for puppies. Mochi is now 8 1/2 months old and I don't see she has hicups anymore. May be she outgrown it?!

| Hopefully she will outgrown them then. Wierd thing is, she's never had them until the past few days (she's 7 months old). Maybe it's just a stage she's going through?
