| Adult weight??? How can you tell how big a baby will be when they grow up? The reason I ask is my 15 week old female is 3.1 lbs and wondered how big or small she might get or stay. |

| If a breeder has developed their line and breeding for a multitude of years they can most certainly guesstimate.....however, there is no guarantee.....The only thing you can depend on in this Yorkie Breed is that they'll make a liar out of you everytime.

| Why afraid......There are those that grow quickly up front and stop and others will grow slowly and do a growth spurt after a year of age.... weight is relevant to bone structure you could have a dinky that is over weight or a larger boned dog that is under weight..... As long as your dog is well balanced, eating well and happy what else can you want.

| The vet says she is perfect. She was gaining weight very quickly until she got to about 11 weeks and now she seems to have stopped. The vet says that I shouldn't worry. She eats well but, plays very hard alot of the time. I guess I am just affraid that she will stop growing too early. |

| It is all based on the the breeder's line...If dogs are line bred a breeder can better guesstimate.....and then only guesstimate......and then you can have a throw back.....

| Thank you all for the information. The mother is 4lbs and her parents were both over 7lbs. She just stayed small. The father is 7lbs and his parents were about the same weight. So I guess, she can go either way. |
