| I am so sorry to hear about Snoodle's problems. It definitely sounds like neurological problems which can be a result of Liver shunt due to the build up of toxins in the blood. It also could be the result of a head injury...have you scheduled more tests?

| Have you had a bile acid test done on Snoodles? It's a relatively cheap blood test that will tell you if she is having liver issues. Regular bloodwork will not show liver abnormalities unless the liver is 70% damaged...

| I don't think he did a bile acid test. Will ask for it next visit. He seems to want to wait and see if she gets any worse, or better on the aspirin. Which by the way, I started myself because I couldn't get her in on the week-end. It worked better than anything. Sometimes, she is a little bit better than others, but I also believe it is a brain injury. Actually, I don't know what to think. He did mention liver, but said it came back okay. Couldn't believe how much worse she became on the Prednizone--neither could he--as it is such a good anti-inflamatory. Pat |

| Prednisone is processed through the liver...If she has a liver problem, then she would have a hard time with it... Prednisolone would be easier on her if she needs to be on this medication for whatever reason.... Aspirin is bad for the liver as well..If liver problems are suspected, this would not be an optimal medicine for Snoodles to be taking.
