I am just now seeing this. Please keep us posted! We are so worried! |
I hope Teddi is going to be okay. Hang in there Ronda... |
4 Attachment(s) Hi everyone! Well I got to see Teddi this morning and they did an ultrasound. Her levels were at 288 this morning and now they are down to 248 (still not low enough but going down). They want to keep her again tonight so they can get more meds in her and get her levels down. The doctor said he wants to see her more alert and playful and she is really lathargic (sp?) still. I have to pick her up tomorrow morning at 8:00 to head down to the Veterinary Medical Imaging Center in Tustin (which should take about 1 1/2 hours tomorrow morning in traffic) for them to do a the shunt scan. They are starting that at 9:45 am and it will take all day. I can't pick her up until 5 pm. It sound like this will be the final test to determine which type of shunt she has and to determine if it is operable. The results from that test will be in 1 to 2 days so I don't know if that will be Friday, Saturday or Monday. I'll find out tomorrow. If she can have the operation I will have the consult next week and then they will give her a bunch of meds for a week and then operate. Thank you all so much for all your prayers. I think I am going to go to Lauren's house tomorrow to wait while they do the test on Teddi. I'm off to go visit with her. Here are pics...the first one is on Sunday at the beach (I was making a b-day card for my boss - just as happy as could be). Second one is from Monday when I got home from work and the last 2 are from this morning at the hospital when I visited with her. |
Oh Ronda I am so sorry! I will be praying for both of you. Keep positive thoughts and keep us posted! |

I just got home hoping for good news. It's very encouraging that she is doing better. I know you must be worried sick about her. It's so hard to leave them at the vet... I've taken Jewel there to the imaging center- the staff there were wonderful when I was taking Jewel. They will put a dye in her and follow the path the dye takes to see if she has a shunt. The doctor is a little dry but he definitely know his stuff. You will only see him for a few minutes but they will give you a full written report and if you ask, they will give you a disk with her images on it that you can see for yourself at home. You will know for sure if it is a shunt or not. I'm really close to them so if you are still in the area around noon, give me a call, I will even take time off earlier if you need someone with you. I'll PM you my cell. Give me a call tonight if you want to know more what to expect during your appointment. The office is in the back right along side the Metro Rail Station so just head for the back of the complex. Hugs to you! |
she is gorgeous! just gorgeous! :) I hope everything goes well for you and your baby. We will keep her in our thoughts for good things and for her to feel better. HUGS! Stacy |

I'm sorry to hear about Teddi but glad she's starting to feel better..........I do have to say one thing........Brandi has the most awful reaction to eating bully sticks.......she loves them but everytime she eats them she acts soooooooooo weird........and totally lethargic.......I posted months ago and the title on the post was bully stick or bully sick........I still give them to her......but only for maybe 5 minutes at a time now.......then I take it away.......and honestly I'm still not sure I should be giving them to her at all......it seems something always happens when I do.......(her being lethargic or diarrhea or just acting plain old WEIRD!!!) I hope Teddi is well and home soon and that it's not liver shunt |

Morning, checking in on your baby. I hope all goes well at the hospital. Holding thumbs. Hugs. |
Ronda, Hang in there. It sounds like you have the best team working on dear Teddi  . That is wonderful that Lauren is nearby and able to help you be closer to the hospital. What a shock this all is.:( Just a little over a week ago, we were all playing with Teddi, watching her run around and play. Who would have ever known that this would pop up in a matter of days?  |
