Something is wrong with Teddi!

So we had our consultation this morning at the hospital. Sue, the person who everyone said to contact there and who helped me set everything up, greeted us and gave Teddi a little knitted ball for a gift. The doctor went over all her test results and checked all her vitals and said everything looked good. He then took some blood to make sure all her levels are fine. He then said I just have to feed her at 6pm and take up her water at midnight and bring her in at 7:30 am tomorrow for surgery. I forgot to ask how long the surgery will take but he said it would be in the morning. I'll ask when I take her tomorrow.

I'm really glad my friend and her son are coming tomorrow becuase I want to go to see the Smokey Mountains on Saturday. Knowville is very small. There is nothing to do here. The big shopping area has about 5 little shops and about 5 restaurants and that's it. Today we went to the main street down town and the only things on that street was the visitor's center/coffee house (They had a free concert at noon but we only stayed for 2 songs - can only take so much fiddle music), Teddi was a big hit there. There was also a store caled Mast Market, a little art gallery and a movie theatre. That's it. I'm going to go to the university store right now to see if they have a little charm I can get for Teddi's collar. I figured she needs something to remember the place that saved her life and also everything I see just has a big T on it so I thought it could also stand for Teddi!!

im so glad the flight and consultation both went well!! ..And thats great that the surgery will only be 45min!! yay!! it seems like they are taking really good care of you..im so happy for that! how great that your friend and son are able to meet you tomorrow..(the place doesnt sound like there's too much to do!..you could always see a movie..) that'll be nice when they come though..then you can do some things! i have been praying for Teddi daily..and will most definately be saying an extra long and special prayer for her tonight & in the morning!! There are lots of people praying for you on YT also, and Tim(of course) my mom, and my aunt all have been told about lil Teddi and they are keeping her and you in their prayers too!! everything will go great, Ronda!! dont worry..she is in good hands!! will be checking in when i can tomorrow, for an update!! xoxoxoxox. Hi Everyone!!! Teddi is out of surgery! Her surgery was at 9am and the doctor who performed the surgery called me at 9:43 to say she was done. He said they found the shunt right away and that everything went great. He also said they did a liver biopsy. She arrived at the hosptial this morning all dressed in her UT sweater and bow and they all loved it! I told them it was to show her school spirit for the school who is going to save her life! The doctor said she is in ICU right now and they will call me this afternoon to give me more of an update. Thank you all for your prayers!!!

OH and I found a whole new world here!! Aparently there is East Knoxville and West Knoxville and the people in the East don't know that the whole West side exists. When I dropped Teddi off this morning I asked at the hospital where I could go for breakfast and she told me to go past the hospital and about 5 miles down the road....well on the way there were beautiful mansions and every restaurant you could imagine along with all the shopping you would ever want. After breakfast I went across the street to a giant mall and walked all around the mall. I guess Knoxville is not so small after all but I would swear the people who live here in East Knoxville don't even know that there is a West Knoxville. I asked last nite at the grocery store where a book store was and two people told me that it closed and there was only a used book store but that "it was a nice book store"....well I just got back from Borders which was across the street from the mall. I guess they have never ventured over there.

I have had you and Teddi on my mind all morning. At 9 this morning I thought OMG she is going in surgery now. I am so glad that all went well and that it was a fast surgery. I bet you can't wait to get an update on how she is doing in ICU. Did you get to see her since her surgery? I feel sure that she is in very capable hands and getting the best care possible.
I know she was adorable when she arrived at the hospital this morning...dressed in her UT sweater, and bow. I hope you took pictures of her. We would love to see them.
I am so glad you discovered the "real Knoxville". I could not believe that you were only seeing 5 places to eat. I have been to Knoxville before but never figured out exactly where I was. I must have been on the west side. I just figured you considered Knoxville small because you are from CA. Just kidding. Hoping that you and your friends enjoy the Smoky Mountains. They are very pretty now but I am sure they were prettier in the early fall.(with the color changes).

Sukoshi and I are SO GLAD to hear Teddi is doing well after her surgery! It sounds like all went according to plan, and you can't ask for anymore than that! I'm so excited to see you and Teddi again so I can give you both a hug after all this is over. To think...we had no idea any of this was going on a month ago! At least it's almost over! Hugs!
