| Well, first of all, calm down. Everything is perfectly normal. Don't freak out or you'll just upset her... There's nothing to worry about. It sounds like you've covered your bases. Just keep a diaper or pad on her (which is really more for you than for her), and (like you're doing) keep her comfy. She'll probably eat a little more too...so make sure you add a little extra to the bowl... As far as the spay...she'll do fine! They can do it if she's in heat...doesn't matter. The vet will tell you everything you need to do post-surgery...so don't worry about that either. And if you have anymore questions when the time comes...there are some very helpful folks on here who can assist with questions! Hope that helps!! |

| hmmmmmmmm, well I guess I don't know much about it. I would think it is natural and no reason to be upset. Am I missing something? Are Yorkies different than other breeds? Guess I am glad I was able the have Delilah spayed before she came into season.

| I don't think it makes a difference....well except she is white. It never failed, anytime I ever wore white is when I would "come into season"

| It's as normal for a dog as it is for a female. You've covered all your bases and she'll be fine.

| They can spay a female that is in heat, but they usually charge more for it. One of my Yorkies went into heat just before I had her spayed and she was fine. I had been in the hospital and my adult son was watching her. I came home and knew the second I that I saw her that she was in heat. Not sure how I knew - instinct, I guess. I waited so I wouldn't have to pay the extra $100.00 they wanted. She will be just fine. I have a Maltese, too and she is getting spayed on Monday... I'm so hoping she doesn't go into heat before then.... |

| well you can go to the animal shelter they do it cheap that's where i'm getting snow done cause the vet is charging up to like $300 I have no problem with it but if I can get it cheaper and knowing that the shelter will take care of her then I'm getting there |
