| Innova Evo Ok so we had a trainer out to our house last night and she suggested that we switch the girls to Raw diet of course this frightens me given the amount of pancreatitis and other stomach and digestive systems problems that we have had. They are currently on Royal Canin IVD, Venison and Potato. So then she suggested Innova Evo. So I have looked them up online and saw they have a Venision Formula. So my question is does anyone feed this and if you do what do you think of it. Any help would be appreciated as we are really considering the switch!

| I had Teddy on this and he did well, but I switched to Orijen, which is similar. I think his poo is more firm with the orijen (not to be too graphic ) I don't think Orijen has a venison formula, but I know they have a 6 fish. Ziwi Peak makes a venison food - Teddy loved the sample we tried of that! |

| I have Deiter on this. When I first got him I tried 2 other foods and he wouldn't eat it. Then was told about this and he has been on it since. He has never had any problems with it. Quote:

| The high protien content has always been a concern with the EVO. Most vets recommend no more than 24% if I remember correctly but the EVO is in the 40's isn't it? |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | I had tried morgan on EVO many months ago and some days she would throw up bile for no reason. I thought it was from the high protein count. Now i have her on a raw diet which is high in protein as well and she is thriving. So i dunno what to tell you.

| The trainer said it was like 36% protien but she said that because of the high portein you can feed less. I have to look at the protien content of thier current food. I am just so confused because I want to make the best decision for them

| I've never fed Lacy Innova Evo, but I fed my cats Innova Evo for a while (kibble) at one point. They both ended up getting diarrhea from it. I think if you're going to be feeding a high-protein diet it needs to be canned or raw..not a dry food. When you feed more protein, an animal needs more water intake. With canned or raw, you have a lot of moisture in the food which is a lot better for them. I know with my cats, they are eating a combo of grain-free canned and raw now (still high-protein) and no more diarrhea and I really believe it's because there is so much moisture in their diet now.
