| Ellie's Liver Biopsy Results No MVD! The bile acid numbers are too low to be a shunt. The vet has no clue why the bile acids were up. I said something about stress and she said it could be but then they would see more of it, so she doesn't know. She is consulting with an internist and possibly taking her off of Denosyl. I am so happy but at the same time very confused.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | GREAT news! What a relief. I'm so happy to hear it's not shunt or MVD.

| I don't know if this makes any sense, but I was kind of hoping it is VERY MILD MVD. That way I would have had a diagnosis. She could have stayed on supplements. Now it is a mystery problem because she has had some concerning symptoms. At the same time, I"m glad her liver is okay.

No Longer a Member | That is wonderful news!! This is why I've chosen not to have any of the invasive (and expensive) tests on Chloe. She remains 100% symptom free, and now she's eating and has plumped up. When we got her BAT test done, she wouldn't eat her food (we had just switched from Royal Canin to Canidae), and that was her only symptom. Now, if she ever should have any symptoms, then we'll do the tests. I do want to get another round of BAT's done to see if anything has changed. |

| OMG - AWESOME NEWS!!!!! Ya know, when my Vet was talking to me about TJ's #'s - he said, that TJ may be fine, he said a possiblity of what's happening with his #'s may be this: At that very moment he drew the blood, TJ's gallbladder may have had a spontaneous contraction and that's what may have caused the increase in his #'s ~ Just an FYI ~ |
