| Puppy tummies...? Hi All, Just wondering ... my puppy has a very round tummy, and I don't know if she's just in the chubby toddler stage or what. I mean, I am a RN but I know nothing about little yorkie bellies. Seriously, her belly feels really big to me. She is going to the vet next week, I guess I just wanted somebody to tell me that their puppies all had big round bellies at ten weeks.

| There's a possibility that she could have worms. When you take her to the vet, I'd have a fecal done or deworming just in case

| Sometimes a round belly is worms. Sometimes just a fat belly. I would take a stool sample the morning of your appointment. Good luck.

| My new pup has a round belly (no worms- just checked) and she's already almost 3 pounds at 12 weeks- she's going to be huge! =) I wouldn't worry about it too much but definitely check for worms just in case (don't vets check for worms at every puppy visit??? mine does!). |

| Like everyone else has said, it could be worms. Worms are normally an easier problem to fix if found quickly. Hopefully your furbaby is just "plump". I think they are so cute when they have a "buddah belly", you just want to kiss them. It is better that she be more round than underweight. Please post some pics up so we can see how adorable she is! Goodluck and keep us posted.
