I feed my pups Canidae All life stages chicken and rice. I used to feed Roo Royal Canin and she hated the stuff. At first she ate it well but then went off it completely so I switched and she's still not a huge eater but definitely seems to like it better! Royal Canin is expensive for no good reason I think- the ingredients are still not great. Here's a review: http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_f...cat/all/page/1 Canidae is a 5-star food and Innova a 6-star- so I'd try one of those! Good luck. PS have you tried hand feeding the pup rather than syringe feeding?

| He is still very young. My Marcus Aurelius wouldn't eat when we brought him home for the first almost three weeks. It is important that if you feel he isn't eating enough that you take him to the vet again. I know how you feel when you say that he has been at the vets more than at home. Marcus lived at the vets for the first almost two months we brought him home. We almost lost him... But they do come around in time and start to play more. Don't worry about all the sleeping, babies need lots to sleep to grow up big and strong . I would also take the suggestions of the other posts here to find a food that your furbaby will eat. The greatest sight you can see after going through something like this is to watch your little guy eat like a little piggy Hope this helps and congrats with your newest addition to the family!

Thanks, yeah he is a great joy. He is now eating some off an on, but not enough for his daily intake. So we are still assist feeding him. We are going to the store this weekend and buying all kinds of foods everyone has suggested to try them. Yes, we tried hand feeding him and he doesnt want any part of it. Just wants to lick our hands. I think he actually getting to know us now and is socializing with us more. He is running around chewing and following us every where we go. So he is doing a LOT BETTER!

changing their foods on them like that is not good for them..they can end up with diarrhea..just like when I got mine a couple weeks ago, I had decided what I was going to give her, then gradually started mixing it with with what the breeder had her on..

Same problem here. My puppy is almost 13 weeks old. We got him 2 weeks ago, and he hardly eats a thing. He weighs less than 2 lbs.

We he isnt eating anything at all. We have to force feed him. He doesnt even like what we force him, but its the only thing that goes into a suryinge. i want to get soem foods to see if he will even look at it or sniff it. Right now, he just looks at it, sniffs it, then turns his head and acts like he isnt interested it in. I need to find something he likes some how.
