| Heart Attack My five month old Yorki died of a heart attack. She was a beautiful healthy dog. The breeder said, "she was healthy when she left here". Besides the pup dying and breaking my heart, the breeder was a Super Jerk! |

| So sorry to hear that. I am guessing she was born with some kind of heart defect? |

| I'm sorry. But to die at 5 months of a heart attack does not sound like she left healthy. Did your vet confirm that is what it was?

| Poor little babe and poor you. It almost has to have been a genetic defect. See if your vet will back you up and go after the breeder. |

I am sorry for your loss. What did the vet have to say? Was it a heart murmur? enlarged heart? What could possibly cause a heart attack in a 5 month old baby ... RIP sweet thing

| Oh honey I'm so sorry for you. My heart just breaks for you. I would definitely try to pursue something against the breeder. Have you considered contacting you state attorney general?

| puppy A normal, healthy 5 month old does not have a heart attack unless there is a problem with the puppy heart from the beginning...perhaps a hole, valve problem, severe murmur...the chances of a 5 month old puppy suddenly having a heart attack is the same as a 5 month old child...there has to be existing heart problems...IMO I am very sorry.. Can you speak to the breeders vet and see what they found at the well puppy check before it left the breeder and if there was none, then the breeder has no clue how the heart was...except from the fact it could feel it beating... |
