No, you don't brush their coat daily......you over work the coat that way.....Never brush a dry or dirty coat...causes breakage.

Use a detanging spray....spray it on a natural brush if you must brush.... No, I don't use Crisco...I use almond oil..... You're new and if you read back through various threads you'll find alot of posts on how to care for it and help it grow.. The secret to growing a good coat, is feed from the inside out and keep it clean.

I have been reading like mad and still trying to learn my way around....just now finding the grooming section. I have learned so much already with so much more to learn. In fact, I have learned tonight from you that my baby is a roachback! ![]() Before I get another Yorkie...at least a couple of years from now...I will know much more of what to look for thanks to you and your vast knowledge of this wonderful breed! Thanks for your wisdom! |
