| Mange? Hello there. I've noticed a bit of hair loss near my yorkie's mouth and eyelid. It is the smallest amount of hair and not noticeable unless you inspect very closely. I was wondering, could this be a type of allergy, mange, or anything else? She has no hair loss on her body. I have heard of a condition that affects yorkies called "leather ear" yet I dont notice anything wrong on her ear area. Leather ear affects the facial area mostly. Maybe this time of year this happens frequently? Is anyone else having this problem or has experienced anything that sounds similar? I appreciate everyone's help. -Amira Last edited by Amira; 07-07-2007 at 01:18 AM. |

| How old is your baby? What food are you feeding her? Do you have a photo of it to share? It could be an allergy. I do not think it is (fungus) leather ear or mange. Mange is noticed also on the ears and your yorkie does not have hair missing from the ears. Some yorkies are very sensitive to what you feed them and so I would check and see what foods you are feeding him, even treats. T. |
