| i use the programme. i get it from my vet and it is expensive but it works well. its a pill they injest once a month. What it does is prevents fleas from being able to lay there eggs and hatch. it doesnt kill adult fleas, but they wont be able to multiply so ocassionaly there might be one or two fleas but they die soon anyways, or so i have been told. i have been using it three months and havent spotted a single one yet, and the city i live in is in the thick of flea season. would definately recomend it! you can also use advantage along with it, but advantage like most flea treatments only kill present fleas and do nothing for prevention. hope this helps!

| I have Carley & Cooper on Frontline Plus. Carley was at the vet yesterday for her one year check up and the vet told me that the fleas this year are really, really bad. She told me alot of the dogs she was seeing were on flea prevention and were still getting them. I had them on Interceptor for heartworms and she had me switch (just for the summer) to Sentinel, which she told me had extra flea protection. I also ordered some Minksheen Shampoo that has citronella in it and that is supposed to help as well. We have never had fleas and I don't want them either!!! Their is another thread on here about natural prevention of feas, Rosemary oil...and other things. You might want to do a search for that thread. Good luck!

| I had Biscuit on revolution and that worked well, but lately I have been switching to natural stuff for everything but heartworm prevention (the mosquitos are just too much here, not worth the risk)....I just don't like putting all those chemicals on him constantly. I use "bite this!" essential oils on his skin and spray him once or twice a week with Neem protect spray....no fleas yet. I get them from this website: www.onlynaturalpet.com |

| Juju is so allergic to flea meds. I don't use them. What we do is treat the whole yard. Haven't had a flea.....keeping my fingers crossed.

| I do this as well. I also mixed some eucalyptus oil in water and spray the whole house with it. This leaves a nice, fresh smell in the house and the fleas flee!!

| Sugar's mom, do you use the diluted oil as a daily spray for your babies, or with their shampoo? |

| Soo....about this eucalyptus oil. I'd like some extra protection and like the idea of spraying around the house. Is it only good for flea prevention, or does it also prevent against ticks, ants, any other critters that make their way into your house? Just trying to get an idea, since we sometimes get ants in the rainy season too. |

How often do you use the Bite This oil? Do you get the spray at the same place? Does using these products make their coats sticky or different feeling? | |
