| I finally did it!!! Summer cuts before and after I finally gave my yorkies their summer cuts and I love their hair short. I ordered a self grooming yorkie DVD and all the suggested supplies I would need from Petedge. The yorkie that held still for grooming, Diesel, turned out great. My other yorkie Dylan, was like wrestling an alligator when the clippers got close but I got him done too. I wasn't going to let him win or I'd never be able to groom him. He turned out a little choppy but I know I'll be able to groom him better next time. I was even able to pull the hair out of their ears and clean them. Here is there before and after do's. 1. Dylan before 2. Diesel and Dylan before 3. Diesel after 4. Diesel after |

| Here's Dylans after picture. I hate this picture of him but it does show his haircut off. He really looks better when I've had a chance to comb down his legs and front hair. He's my little red legged yorkie. |

| Did you do the grooming? If so you did a great job. I like the short body cut and the length on the legs. I'll keep that in mind because I am so confused as to what to do with Buddy for summer. |

| Thank you Archie!! Yes, I did it myself. I started grooming my little long hair chihuahua last year because she sheds so bad and gets so hot. I loved hers short and enjoyed doing it myself. I hate to leave any of them at the groomers for several hours plus with 3 needing groomed it gets expensive. These cuts were a little rough but I know I'll improve. Buddy is a cutie. He reminds me so much of my first yorkie, Kramer. |

| I have been grooming Buddy since last Oct when I finally gave up on groomers. Now that he is actually getting long I have found a groomer to come to the house. I trim him ok but not sure what to do now! I hope to only get 1/2 as good as you. Time will tell |

| What a great job! I did the same for my poodle (dvd+supplies) minus the wonderful outcome. I cried afterwards due to the poor job I did Thankfully, (for her) I never tried again and she goes to the groomers every 5 weeks...........lol

| I think he looks gorgeous with the length he has now. (not too long not too short). I am partial to the 'puppy cut' face and shorter body

| Great job! I've tried to groom myself, but Rhapsody and Tiger wiggle so much I'm terrified I'm going to accidently hurt them. So basically I'm too chicken to do more than brush and bath; I take them in every 2 months.

I know I don't want him cut way down again so maybe I'll just get him cleaned up alittle and leave it mid way for summer. Decisions, decisions

I know how muggy it gets in the summer but thankfully they have a single-coat. It'll be Bobbi's 1st summer so I am just as confused I am trying to grow his hair out too.......I can always cut it if it's 'too much to handle' Personally, Buddy has a gorgeous coat and he needs to flaunt it. You can keep it as it is now and maybe let his beard grow a little more? He will look luck a puppy

Last Oct the dumb groomer cut him to the "JAW LINE". I almost had a stroke! He looked so stupid, really. More like a schnauser than a yorkie. I told her not short but they never seem to listen. That was the last time he went! Oh well, time will tell.

I have had my share of near-stroke episodes with my poodle. I cut Bobbi's ends myself because I am not willing to 'risk it'. It takes way too long for his hair to grow (unlike the poodle's). I trim the ends myself and even at that I say a prayer before.......lol I am a beard fan, so yes, a little longer would look even cuter (if it's at all possible with Buddy). His coloring is just gorgeous........and like I said before, makes you want to put your hand through the computer screen and pet him
