| Grooming book and clippers - advice? I was JUST looking at this book and wondering if anyone had ordered it. Did you find the book really helpful and is it easy for beginners?? I'm also looking for advice on clippers. I was looking at this set: http://www.amazon.com/Andis-Super-De...6226870&sr=1-8 anyone with suggestions ??

| Just a thought Why not look for grooming shops that offer a class that will show you how to do basic grooming on your pet? Typically once a year shops will offer a 2-4 hour class on basic grooming techniques - they show you how to properly bathe, clip nails, pluck ear hair and address types of clippers, how to use/hold them and show how to do a puppy cut. These classes are inexpensive and very informative. pssst - the shop owners typically believe that owners will attempt to groom their pets on their own a couple times and then appreciate groomers more. Don't tell anyone that I told their secret.
