| Has anyone ever bought? Hi everyone. I have finally decided I want to learn how to groom my yorkies myself! I'm sick and tired of spending so much money at the groomers. I have 2 furbabies and the groomer I have been going to the last couple of months has been charging me $55 for both. My girl doesn't need much done b/c I keep her hair long. All that needs to be done is to have her nails, peri area, feet, ears trimmed; then put a topknot. That's it. My boy, he is kept in a puppy cut and everything trimmed as my girl. So I figured, why can't I do this myself and save me $55 a month! I went on ebay and found these 2 links. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MakeTrack=true http://cgi.ebay.com/YORKIE-DOG-groom...QQcmdZViewItem I was thinking of buying one of them. First I wanted to ask anyone if they have bought this and was it worth the price?? Thanks guys! |

| The first sounds like it is just a manual with pictures. The second is a video is from a person who is on another list I am on. I have never seen it, but have heard good reviews about it. Let us know what you get and how you like it.

| Goodmorning...............All of you out there that want to learn to groom your own yorkies.......This is the best one......I had just bought it about a month ago and I have learned to groom my little one myself. The dvd is awesome. She has a grooming shop and she owns 4 yorkies. She teaches you the teddy bear cut which is the puppy cut and 3 other cuts.....Definitely woth the money, as a matter of fact I would of paid 100.00 for it ! My groomer charges 30.00 and she is never done the way I want, plus who knows what she is doing to her. But I bought the professional clippers, grooming table and all for under 250.00 on ebay.......She even tells you all you need to buy. I will have my monies back in no time. She is awesome, if you have any questions she answers you within hours. Any questions even after you buy the dvd. Her ebay name is royalcrown yorkies. Look up yorkie grooming and you will see the dvd w/ a bunch of yorkies on the front. Definitely worth the money........she explains all so well. Blessings........Any questions please do ask.... |

| I have the second one you listed: http://cgi.ebay.com/YORKIE-DOG-groom...cmdZViewIt em -- It is an excellent instruction video. The technical quality of the video might not be the best -- a little like a home movie, but the lady is easy to understand and gives detailed directions.

| I know there is a great grooming table for 30 at PetEdge.com, made especially for small dogs. I'm thinking about buying it myself, grooming Pep cost me between 50-60 in NY and I'm tired of him spending the entire day at the groomer when all that needs to be done is bath, nails, sanitary and paws...Pls let us know how you liked the DVD.

| awww, I know I could use it but I really don't want to spend another $30.00... ARGGGH. I did get all the grooming supplies including the table but hate to think of another chunk going into grooming. I groom mine now, but I'm sure there are things I should know that I don't.... gee, wish I hadn't read this thread! |

| I want to try to groom my own yorkies also. I currently groom my long hair chihuahua in a short cut and have gotten pretty good at it. I think I'll order the DVD also and see if I can learn how to do the yorkies. I've been thinking about going short with both of them since neither one of them has a very good coat. Wish me luck. |

| My friend Sue is the owner of the grooming shop in Michigan that you all are referring to (Royalcrownyorkies.com ) 5 years ago I talked her into making a grooming video. Her video's are awsome. She also has one on how to make show bows and mazaging (sp ??? ) your Yorkie, they are easy to follow and very good. Sue is a great person and the one who has spearheaded Yorkiefair 2007. I am proud to be on staff with her for Yorkiefair 2007 and have her as my friend. I go to Michigan 2-3 times a year to see her and a few other Mi Yorkiemoms. Janie |

| One thing I wanted to add..I groom mine also. You can buy the clamps and arms to help hold the little angels in place and you can use these on your regular ironing board. You can adjust it to a comfortable height for you to work and of course never leave them unattended. The ironing board will only work for Yorkies and other small dogs, but is alot cheaper and works as well as a grooming table...
