| contemplating short cut did anyone get their yorkie a short cut then regret it? I'm trying to let dixie's hair grow long but she always looks so straggled even brushing her daily sometimes 2x a day....so I am thinkin maybe a short cut for those that did, did you leave the face/head hair long and just have the rest short?

| The long hair is difficult keeping it looking nice. It always looks stringy. I think the cutest cut is cut really short on the body, keep the legs tail and face long but trimmed and leave enough on top for a bow. |

| I found this phot and held on to it in case I ever decide to go short. I think it's a good photo to take to a groomer if you want a short cut.

| This is Tank with an all around short cut. I like it this way because it's easy to manage and I think it keeps him looking like a puppy. Good luck on your decision. Just know that your pup will look very different once you get them cut. It always takes me a bit to get used to how small Tank looks with all of his hair gone!! I'm sure you will love it and remember that it will grow out again if you don't |

| Me too! Even though Brutus had a really beautiful long coat I just couldn't keep up with all the grooming. I keep his topknot and face long and cut the rest shorter. I also cut his belly and butt real short. We haven't had any mats since he's had this cut.

| You can see from my pic that I keep their hair short. Usually not this short tho. Rocky hasn't had his first haircut yet but I had to cut Darcy's really short because Rocky kept taking mouthfuls of Darcy's facial hair and dragging her around. I think that by the time Rocky calms down, Darcy's hair will be the length I like. I do keep the hair above the eyes cut short with no topknot. Our first Yorkie kept taking hers out and eating the bows. We decided not to bother with them anymore. Depending on the cut, your babies can look like totally different dogs!

| Sorry apparently my pictures were too big and then I got caught in the snow storm while travelling. Here's my Tank with his short hair. |
