pet silk or royal crown I was wondering what would be better for bathing my yorkie. I need a good shampoo and conditioner and also a detangler spray for brushing in between baths. Thank you! Susan

Dr. Bronner's pure liquid castile soap. The liquid castile soap and the #1 ALL SYSTEMS are both gentle enough to use every day, but the liquid castile soap is excellent for people hair, new born babies, kids and everyone. He has one with eucalyptus, one with tea tree and one with lavandin & Lavender, which any one of these three will repell fleas and it's organic. He also has a new line out called sun dog's magic that I'm anxious now to try. Right now I'm using the #1 all systems shampoo, but am going back to Dr. Bronner's line. http://www.drbronner.com/drb_sai_liquids.html

I have been using Pet Silk and conditioner for sometime and lately do not like it so much. I switched to Pantene/wconditioner and it's great. I like it much better. Several on here use it so I tried it. It's great. Carol & Buddy You can check out his shiny coat in the photo gallery. We are letting it grow and it is like silk.

Bathing... Hi everyone...I would like to ask how often you all bath your Yorkies. I have a 30 week old little guy who shines just beautifully when bathed, but only for about a week, then his body coat tends to dull and I bath him again. I have used various spray leave in conditioners with oil, etc. in-between but they only work for what seems like just hours. I have been told I am bathing him too often...What are your thoughts??? I only bath my Sheltie and my poodle every three weeks or so which seems O.K. for them. My dogs are primarily house dogs and very seldom go on walks other than around the house! I sure appreciate any advice on the Yorkie's bathing schedule. Thanks!
