| If you want a Shorter Yorkie cut... What do you tell your Groomer? I either get him back and he is COMPLETELY shaved, or they have barely touched him with scissors. I try and tell them that I would like to keep his face a little longer than his body, and I would like to keep his body about 1-1 1/2 inches long. I like the ears "tipped", and the underbody shaved all the way to the underarms. They just don't seem to get it. I have taken pictures in and everything. Now, he does have a cotton coat, and that is why I like to keep his underbody so short. He mats very badly. The last time I took him, she shaved him almost bald, even his face, and charged me 30.00. I was furious as I had told her that I wanted him 1 inch, and the face a little longer. Is there a better way?

| Maybe say a puppy cut? Though if they don't get it with the directions that you've given them then I'd say find a new groomer.

| One thing that this forum has taught me is to make sure that you brush out any matts or tangles before you take them, it seems many groomers say that they "have" to shave the dog down to get out the matts. I don't think this is true as mine have had plenty of knots and matts and I can work them out with time. The problem is the groomers don't have time so they may shave instead. |

| Just explain to the groomer what you want -- take along a pic if you have one so she will have something to go by. Here is Chizziewink in her modified schnauzer cut. We are going to keep her like this except we plan to let her tail hair grow. |
