| how often can puppies be bathed? My little yorkie is about 10 weeks old. I brush him daily, but he loves to play with cats, dogs, puddles, and anything else he can find! He is starting to get a little greasy. I'm hesitant to bathe him because my Yorkshire Terrier book says to only bathe puppies in exceptional circumstances, but I miss his soft clean coat! I'd love any advice on whether he can be bathed yet, or if I should just grin and bear it. Thanks! |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | when i got morgan at 13 weeks old i was bathing her once every 4 days it seemed. she was a stinky mess all the time. as long as you make sure you get all the shampoo and conditioner out and use something gentle enough for their skin there is nothing wrong with bathing them when they get messy. just make sure you dry him really well afterwards

| Hi Mikey!! I was in your shoes a few weeks ago. Some people say to wait till they get a little older, some people will tell you to go for it. I am going to tell you to go for it! i waited until my baby was 10 or 11 weeks, i cant remember which. As cute as my baby is, i just couldent live with the stinky pee/puppy litter mates scent my baby was wearing...lol. |

After you give him a good bath you can spot clean him over the sink if you need to. His behind or his toes or his face or belly. Then just dry him good. When he's dirty all over or smelly, give him a bath. Just keep him warm until he's dry.
