| Teddy, Sir. Galahad & Tiffanies Coats...Help!! Hello all I've not been on here for awhile, with the holidays, grandbaby and yep Yorkies, Birthdays and funerals...I've just not even been on my computer at all. Well now I'm here finally...Yes I've missed it all. I hope everyone had a Beautiful Christmas. Well Teddys coat is growing out very fast...He hasn't been shaved down since this spring and now it's longer. BUT I have a questions..I posted these 2 photos see the head of Teddy down to 1/2 of his back is so soft, beautiful, straight and yes so silky...But the 1/2 from his back to his butt is so wooly, wirey and dull and dry....Could this be cause I didn't cut his shoulders shorter then his backend when he was shaved down or do U all think this is how his FULL coat will be once fully grown out? He just turned 2 in Nov. And I've also noticed around his mouth is getting a alburn/reddish color these past few months...He is the one in the photo to the left of the chair, with the white bow in his hair. and the one sitting/leaning on the chair arm...I tried to get a good photo of their coats for U all. Now for Tiffanie, she has the silky coat, so thin...Take forever to grow!! She hasn't been shaved down for over a year now and look @ her length...Not good as Teddys. Also around her mouth/eyes is so thick and unruly unlike Teddys...Will this lay down more the longer it gets? I've also noticed she is getting the alburn/reddish hair too, her and teddy are husband and wife NO relation whatsoever!! So is this normal for Yorkies of this age? She too just turned 2 only in Dec. She is the one on the right with the burg. Bow in her hair. Sir. Galahad...I have NO idea what type of coat he has or will have...He's never been cut down, I just trim all 3 paws, bottoms and tip their ears....So what do U all think his coat will be? See with Teddy I could tell cause his curled up when shaved down, Tiffanies on the other hand stayed thin and straight as a board. He is the one in the middle of Tiffanie and Teddy, He will be 8 months old Jan 4th, he the one we kept out of our 1st litter of babies. Can U all give me some thoughts on how to help Teddys dry hair? I've read all the post here but still can't make up my mind on what would be best to use. Also I thought if I took Teddy to the groomer once a week it would help me on the matting part, but when I called I ask her if she could do top knots? She said oh NO Puppy Cuts are in!! I said NO NO I DO NOT want his Hair cut @ all!! I do the trimming myself...She said OKAYYYY....Well all I want her to do it bath him, and groom his hair!! SHOULD I just keep doing it myself? I've read some of the horror storys here about the groomers shaving babies and I sure would poop my pants if they did that to Teddy...I'd be really fighting mad and me having the BIG mouth I have I'd say something NOT nice if she did that to him!!! Why do groomers do that to us? Can't they take NO CUTTING for an answer or they trying to make the money? If that happened to him I'd NOT pay her...Sorry but that is the truth!! Please help me out here. He went to 1 groomer before last Nov and they shaved him so short, for he was matted, not that bad tho...And I sure don't want that to happen again...This would be the 1st time he's been there ever. Please what would U all do? Look how pretty his coat is getting, yeah it's fuzzy on the butt but I think that will grow out in time. Hugs and Many Thanks Lee and Babies!!!!!!
