My furkids Donating Member | another grooming disaster! My Mom told me the other day (this was on the news), that a man brought his 2 yorkies to be groomed...the groomer left the yorkies in the crate with the dryer (too hot!) on them and they died!! ...I just don't understand how these things are happening!! Until I became a member on YT, I had never heard of these things happening....Don't the groomers watch these animals? I mean hanging from tables and burning to death in crates....GOOD GRIEF!! this is why I do my own grooming....

| I agree, those aren't just accidents. that is neglect. They should be setting timers. I'm glad I do my own grooming, cause I'd be in a panic if I had to leave mine somewhere. Heck I hate to leave my car somewhere to be serviced, I worry about what they're doing to it. |

| Oh that is so sad. My Groomer uses a blow dryer. I would never go anywhere that uses those box dryers

| We lost our first Yorkie, litle Maggie, at the groomers. I still do not know for sure what happened to her but I will never leave one at a groomer's again. If I cannot learn to do this well myself, I will find someone who will let me stay. I wish our town had one of the groomer's who make house calls.

| I do all by myself... shower, dry, grooming, clip nails, clean the ears, brush teeth... I just DO NOT let anyone else touch my babies... I had too much bad experience w/ groomers in the past... Katiuscia & Maggie |

| I do it all myself too. Not hard to wash and blow dry. Nor is it hard to brush them out, using cowboy magic. I'm going to learn how to clip nails next time I bathe them too. I've always done the clipping on my older yorkie. Sometimes turns out good, sometimes, poor pup...looks like a bad cut. I'm finally starting to let his hair grow again too, since I know I can get the mats out with Cowboy magic. I was at petsmart today, and peeked in the grooming widow. Seems most of the dogs in there were getting a good body shaving! I don't want anyone to shave mine, cause they don't have time to get a few mats out! Time is money for those folks. I even had my nephews gf as me if she could take Adonis to work with her, and give him a "puppy cut", I said NO. He's not going anywhere without me! If I hurt her feelins, oh well. It was the first time I'd ever met the girl!! I'll do my own dogs! No thank you to the places that want you to drop them off! |

| I do all of my own grooming too! If someone was to hurt one of my babies, well, I'm afraid I would hurt them, and I'm not a violent person.
