My furkids Donating Member | question on Cowboy Magic Morning all Yter's! After trying to decide between petsilk and cowboy magic I decided on trying the CM...after reading so many positive posts on it I thought this would be the way to go...Sadie's coat is silky and has NEVER matted (lucky me!) Lillie, one the other hand, has a thicker coat..I have tried using human conditioner on her and can't get the matts out..she isn't matted bad....and just her britches have little matts on them...I think maybe it's because her adult coat is coming in and where the adult coat starts and the puppy coat ends is getting matted... I plan on buying the shampoo and detangler...Should I also get the conditioner? does the detangler work as a conditioner too? I know alot of you that use it swear by it... Thanks in advance!

| I only use the CM detangler and shine for Mimi because her coat is thick as well. I use Pet Silk shampoo & conditioner. I apply CM after her bath and during the week when brushing. You only need a small amount. If you put too much her coat will look greasy. CM detangler and shine works wonders and you will love it! I also noticed that Mimi doesn't matt anymore since having CM on her coat. |

Is the detangler the one in the tube? So you use the conditioner AND detangler? she doesn't look like a little grease ball using both? do you usually wait until she is dry before you put the detangler on? LOL! sorry so many questions!! I never had to worry about Sadie's coat...she has NEVER matted...Lillie is a different story and, she is on 19 wks...not even full coated yet! but, you can tell she is going to have the type of coat that is going to matt.

Thats okay!! Most of the time I have loads of questions too. Yes, it comes in a tube. I use petsilk shampoo and conditioner on my babies. Using the conditioner & detangler never makes them greasy but when I first started using CM I put too much on Mimi and she looked like a grease ball....lol So then I started using small amounts and never had a grease problem since. I towel dry her and once I get most of the water off I apply a small amount of CM detangler and brush her. You can also use it on a dry coat...I also use it in between brushing during the week to help with tangles. You are going to be so amazed to see the tangles come right out. I also use a comb instead of a brush. I prefer the comb because I think the brush doesn't get deep enough. I've never tried CM shampoo & conditioner because I am happy with Pet Silk but I can say that CM detangler and shine works way better than Pet Silk liquid silk. I am in the same situation you are..Timmy never matts but Mimi does. | |

| I use both the shampoo and detangler. Both have conditioning agents in them. After shampoo and rinse, I towel dry, then put about a dime sized amount of the detangler in the palm of my hand. I rub my hands together then rub my hands through Gracie's coat. I then brush her with a pin brush and tidy the hair around her eyes with a flea comb. I then towel dry. I also mix one part CM detangler to 8 parts water in a mister bottle. I use that for brushing inbetween baths. I find that Gracie is no longer filthy and smelly at bath time like she used to be. The CM is supposed to repel dirt, and I think it really does!
