| Pet Silk Products I am in the process of switching shampoo's........ There are so many Pet Silk products...I didn't know what most of you used. I am thinking about geting the Midnight Black Shampoo (to bring out the darker colors) and then using the Moisturizing Conditioner. There are also alot of extras from Pet Silk, like: Silk Sheen, Top Knot Gel, Show Coat w/ Liquid Silk Serum, Coat Oil, etc. Which one for be good to use in between bathing? Also, has anyone used the GloCoat Shine Spray? I am looking for something to condition the hair in between bathing. Thanks!

| I use the moisturizing shampoo and conditioner...I can say I am very happy with the product and results. I also use the liquid silk and love it....just a FYI... liquid silk and bio silk (from the beauty salon) are the same thing...so I will be buying bio silk next time because it is cheaper and yes I did confirm this with Pet Silk.. They are actually related to the people that make bio silk. |

Do you think I should go with the moisturizing shampoo instead of the Midnight Black one? I was just thinking that if I could pull some of his darker color out, that would be so pretty. What do you think?

Yes it is nice to know!! Just make sure you don't use too much!! He'll look like a grease ball...trust me I learned it the hard way..lol I don't know how the midnight black shampoo works but I do love the smell of the moisturizing shampoo and conditioner and it leaves my babies hair nice and soft. You can also dilute the S&C. I bought a hair dye bottle with a cap at Sally's (8ozs)and I filled the bottle to about 1 1/2 oz of shampoo and the rest with water.. same thing with the conditioner. So what ever I don't use I cover back up and use if for their next bath. I think the diluted bottles last me about 1 month and I bathe my babies once a week. Its been about 5 months now and I'm still working with the first shipment I got and the bottle is only half way gone!! Even the liquid silk...that last forever. | |

| pet silk Biosilk and Biolage are made by two different companies. Biolage is a Matrix product and biosilk is a company of thier own. Both are sold in hair salons. Sometimes I have seen both a cvs or target. They are the same price there as they are in the salon. They aren't suppost to sell it cheaper or they will get sued by the companies. I guess i should have said I am a hair stylist. If you don't want to pay that much citra shine is similiar. I smells really good too. THey are all protein oils that simulate hairs natural oils. JUst be careful a tad will go a loooong way. IF you use too much you will end up with one slick puppy. hee hee. I know that biosilk is about twenty dollars for the large bottle but it should last for atleast a year. I have no Idea about the cost of the other product. I hope this helps. Connie:

| Thanks for confirming my suspicion. I started to think it was related to biosilk when I saw the paul mitchell dog shampoo being sold in the same store lol! So, that answers that then! |

| Connie K or anyone else who might know - please At the risk of showing my stupidity, are all the oil treatments that we put on our pups to get out mats & make their hair shine basically the same? I have seen recommendations for Cowboy Magic (which I bought) Pet Silk (which I bought) Redken Anti Snap (also purchased) Johnson's No More Tangles (also bought) plus I bought all sorts of Pet Silk Shampoos & conditioners plus the CC starter set, brush & comb. I really can't tell any difference. Little Bit's hair is not bad except for the knot they make to put her bows in at the groomer. That is real hard to get out even using EVERYTHING I've bought. If something is really wonderful, I don't mind buying it but if I washed Little Bit every day until she died, I don't think I can use up all this stuff I've already bought plus the breeder sent her home with a bottle of 8 in 1 Tearless shampoo. |
