Hey, that looks pretty good! Have you gotten any feedback on it yet?

I see you have one on bow making too! Awesome! I've kind of been thinking about making my own bows... Once I can convince Pixie to wear 'em anyway!

The site isn't mine I just have bought both videos from them. The bow video is fabulous.I couldn't be more pleased with it. The grooming video is also good but it doesn't show how to wrap coats only how to dow schanauzer cuts and puppy cut but they are Great!

Thanks , you are so sweet. I have 8 puppies in my house now and as soon as they all go into their new homes I will really work on a something basic that is easy to understand for first time groomers. After teaching so many groomers I have the ability to break it down in simple terms. I talked to my boyfriend about filming it for me and he said he would.

Wow! Great thread!

I want to learn how to groom as well. At the same time, I am very nervous. I know practice makes perfect. However, I am scared to even practice! LOL!

I did pick up a book about Yorkies when I first purchased my Yorkiepoo. It has a section in there on grooming. Of course, it's very basic, but it may be enough to get me started if I can muster up the courage. (I am thinking that I might need to pick up a book on poodles b/c my pooch has very curly hair.) The book is called, "Your Happy Healthy Pet: Yorkshire Terrier," 2nd Edition by Marion Lane.

For those of you that groom, the book gives a list of supplies needed. Would you agree with this list:

-pin or bristle brush
-comb
-flea comb
-electric razor
(What kind? One specific for pets?)
-safety scissors
-small dog nail trimmer
-gauze (for cleaning teeth)
-ear powder
-pet shampoo
-pet coat conditioner
-rubber mat
-sponge
-spray attachment for the faucet
-cotton balls
-towels
-hair dryer
-small rubber bands


Anything else needed to get started?
