Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Girl - the GOLD SERIES ...I got the 27mm and it's perfect for both my girls - I could have gone with the 35mm for Chanel .....but I got one that works for both. Its not too short...not too long and glides thru the hair. and the MACH I would be perfect for mats - I got the MACH II and it's a little on the large size....but these are VERY GENTLE and not sharp at all. I brushed both my girls and it got out all the 'dead' hair easily and they didn't mind it at all. I'm so excited - I've been wanting to order these brushes for a long long time and just said the HECK with it and did it. I'm LOVING THEM I like these products so much I wish I could sell them myself....they're worth it. |

| You probably have already ordered the brush, but I wanted to put in my 2 cents. I recently got the 27mm gold series brush and I absolutely LOVE IT!!! I can't say enough good things about it. I didn't really want to pay a lot for a brush, especially when they are $34 - I wanted to cheap out & get the 20mm toy brush, but they recommended the other, but I am so glad I got the gold, it's the best brush ever.

| Call me short sighted Villette, but I bought the gold 20mm.... Cause my Pixie had shorter hair and a thinner coat.... I did not even think for a second that she would mature and need a heavier brush! lol Needless to say, I love it! And would you beleive.. I have caught my daughter using it at least half a dozzen times!!! She said that its much nicer than any of her brushes! (How bad is that? The dogs brushes are better...) Looks like I will be buying a second one! oh darn! Maybe I can hand the 20mm down to my human child and the Yorkie children can have the new 27mm! I'm a Terrible mother, I know! Which slicker?? I need one! The buttercomb I have and LOVE LOVE LOVE! is the #012 $20 its 4 1/2 inches long and teeth spaced 11 per inch. Its awesome!!! It pulls right through the facial hair and breaks up the eye boogies! Its also nice for checking for mats on the legs... Its a great comb for a smaller Yorkie or for face work. For a Tea Pot Yorkie! I might go with the #001, same comb almost just longer, with slightly shorter teeth and same teeth spacing, 7 1/2 inches long $24 Anyway... thats my CC brush 2 cents

| ok... I'll go first! Pixie was getting VERY dry skin... I thought it was the shampoo... I knew it was not the diet... I read about the "brush test", you take the brush your using now and run it over your forearm 100 times, like you were brushing your dog... and then take a look at your arm... Mine was torn up! No freaking wonder Pixie had dandruff and what appeared to be dry skin... It was more like damaged skin! Her brush was the real problem! Tale it one step further... I am in the Jewelry business... I am good with a loupe, its a 10x magnifier.. I used it to look at the tips of my pin brush... It was like looking at little saw blades. They looked more like weapons of mass destruction than anything! And all this time i had been brushing her every morning and every night! And just think of the damage I was doing to her hair! those tips have very sharp jagged edges to them... Like fan blades. You just cant see it with your naked eye... I'm not saying every brush is bad... But I looked at all 6 of my brushes and only one looked like I could use it until my new ones arrived... and even then, I used it as little as I could get away with! When my CC Brush arrived... I unwrapped it and ran it across my arm, it was very soft. I pulled out my loupe and checked each pin.... they were so finely ground and polished, they were smooth like glass. the base of the brush was so flexable that the pins moved freely. when I used it in pixie for the first time, she was a bit knotted... I had been afraid to brush her all week with the old brushes... I was amazed at how the pins gave and did not pull on the coat, they really did glid through it! I did not feel like I was having to work at the knots, but that the pins were working on them as I was brushing... it was just a natural process... sounds silly, but its true, the base is so flexable that even the most delicate coat will not get damaged! and yet it is powerfull enough that it gets the job done! Like I sad.. My own daughter (10 years old) uses the CC Gold Series 20mm brush... I keep asking her not to... explaining that her hair oil and the dogs is not the same... but she does not get it... all she knows is that the brush feels so much better than any other in the house, and all the other ones hurt her head! lol I have decided that I am ordering another brush for the girls when I order the slicker and I will pass this 20mm one to my daughter... Its wrong for the dogs to have a better brush than my human child. Are you sold? I don't know... I am! Pixies Dandruff is 100% GONE! There is absolutly no hair pulling when I brush her. I did not change her grooming products, food, or anything else... just her brush! Best $32.00 I ever spent! I'd get the comb too! Awesome for getting the eye boggies out! lol

| Here's My review for the CC Brushes, I had posted this on the other thread.. Ginger is my Yorkie she has very silky hair, Oreo is my Yorkie/Pomeranian he has a cottony coat, very hard to maintain, Cloey is my Maltese and she also has a cottony coat Brushes: Oblong 20mm Brush: - Ginger: Worked really well for her hair type. the combination of the brush and the shampoo & conditioner really brings out the best in her coat. it's SUPER soft and silky, like it glides through my fingertips better than my hair does (i'm even contemplating using that brush!) it does take out the bigger knots and tangles, but wouldn't take out the smaller mats. - Oreo: Didn't work as well getting out all the Smaller mats and tangles, I just used this when Oreo was wet to help loosen up the hair. - Cloey: Also don't really use this as much for the mats, but I love using it on the upper part of her back where her hair is longer. I recommend the Oblong 20mm brush for silky type hair and if you are trying to grow out the hair. Slicker: Mark II Slicker: - Ginger: Didn't make her as silky, but in combination with the oblong brush, it took out all her smaller mats and tangles, and it took out a lot of the dead hair or loose hair. I did use this for her legs with good results. - Oreo: I LOVED this brush for him, it made him SO fluffy, like a fluffball. Oreo tangles and mats very easily and this slicker worked wonders for him. He sheds a lot so the Slicker automatically took out all the shedding hair and made him feel so soft. - Cloey: I also loved this brush for her, she was more fluffier after the combination of the slicker and the products. I recommend this Slicker for those that have a cottony coat and are not growing the hair out and keeping the hair short. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | xtine - GREAT REVIEW !! I do want to say - the MACH II is a pretty large brush....For small yorkies the MACH I Slicker would be a good size....I don't have tiny yorkies and even to me it's on the big side....but it's a GREAT BRUSH ! Really great.....after all the brushes I've had over the past 10 years - this is the first one that does NOT scratch. |
