| Hair on head I was wondering if anyone had ever encountered this I currently have three Yorkies, have had others, a fifteen year old & litter sisters who are twenty months old now. One of the twins already has a beautiful long coat all over, like all the others I’ve owned ( I always keep them in long coats). The other twin has grown a long coat over most of her body, not as thick as her sister’s but the same silky texture, but the hair on her head just refuses to grow. It’s extremely short all over her head & part way down her neck. No chance of a top knot! It’s quite odd with the long body coat but a trimmed looking head though it never has been trimmed. She’s bathed fortnightly, conditioner, brushed every day to keep the knots at bay. Their parents are both successful show dogs with beautiful coats. I just can’t fathom it at all & was wondering if anyone else had come across this. |
