| Does Bella spend time in a crate or around baby gates? Does she rub her face? These are things that can break off facial hair. Max puts his nose through the baby gate and has a little hair breakage as a result. The mustache can also become dirty and brittle from saliva and food, causing it to break off. Banding the mustache or using a snood for eating, chewing, can help with that.

My boys rub their faces when they eat something fragrant like coconut oil, or if I put a topical medicine on them. I can put something on their back legs and they will rub their faces.
