![]() I have the Chris Christensen wooden Pin brush (both sizes), and I love them. I also have the Buttercomb 06 and 12. I love them also. I still think you will need another pin brush unless you always comb your puppy fully. A puppy often matts, and the wooden brushes don't go all the way to the skin always. Still, they are my favorite brushes. I also have a CC gold pin brush, the CC Andreas brush, and a Madan pin brush. My little girl has a silk coat, but she has a very thick coat. I brush and comb her hair in layers. I wish you lots of love, joy, and laughter with your puppy.

![]() What I would use on mine as a puppy was a two-in-one soft bristle brush. (It has a pokey side and a soft side.) They're made by multiple brands, and I don't think it really matters if the brush is only temporary. I would normally use the pokey side of the brush, and gently go over the pup with that to get knots out, then go over him/her with the soft side to make the pup's fur soft. (And I would spray some dog deodorant on him to make him smell nice if he smelled bad.) Of course, that's just me, and you can do whatever seems best.

![]() @lisaly, do you think the bristle brush would work along with the pin? cuz i'm looking to get one this week. along with 001 butter comb @disasterous, if i was to bathe the dog once a week, how will i still need dog deodorant? i was planning to use ice on ice spray throughout the week. and i heard it smelled nice too lol

![]() [QUOTE=Deviruchi;4549868]@lisaly, do you think the bristle brush would work along with the pin? cuz i'm looking to get one this week. along with 001 butter comb I personally like the 000 butter comb over the 001 because I first like going over the hair with wider spaced teeth to get out knots. Then the fine side of the comb will get deeper in to find more knots. You may be fine with just the #6 comb and a 000 or 001 comb and the wood brush. The bristle brush is more for finishing. It really doesn't get the deep knots. That's why I like a regular pin brush too. I don't think you need the Andreas brush. I just like it for both Katie's and my hair. My favorite comb is the 006,next is 12, and last 001. The 006 is a must have, particularly around the eyes and beard. For pin brushes I like the gold or fusion. I have the gold. Madan also makes a great pin brush, and it's much more reasonably priced. Their combs are also very good. Their mustache comb is awesome (like the 006, but a third of the price). YT member Mimimomo is wonderful to work with, and she gives YT members a 10% discount. Jenny's site is toplinepet.com. http://www.toplinepet.com Last edited by lisaly; 04-13-2015 at 05:35 PM.
