I bought the Scaredy Cut Grooming Kit

I got it off of Ebay. I tried it out on my 4 month old yorkie who needed a haircut bad. I didn't want to send him to the groomers because I'd rather just be able to do it at home myself. Save some money too. Well, they actually work pretty good. And they are easy to use too. I wasn't sure about them, but they have really good ratings. I am really happy I decided to get them. And he actually doesn't mind me cutting his hair with them since it isn't loud and it just feels like I am brushing him. If you have a doggie who doesn't like the sound of clippers, I would suggest these.

Does anyone else use these as well?

I don't have them. I'm glad they worked for you. They aren't loud, I think that's what scares dogs the most when you try to groom them, the noise the clipper make! Thanks for posting about them!

I finished him tonight, so tomorrow I will post a couple of pictures of him before and after so everyone can see what it looks like. I think it turned out pretty good considering it was my first time cutting him all together and using these scissors.

Nice! It's good that you found something that works for you. I've tried them and like them, but I still take Henri to the groomers for his shaved summer cut.

That is awesome! Thank you for sharing. Ive been slowly. Buying what I think I will need to eventually groom Jasper myself. I like that it doesn't make much noise. And I brush him about 3 times a day. So, he used to that and enjoys it. Can't wait to see the pictures.

I'm glad you found something you like, but for those who are regular clippers, an easy way to get them use to the noise is to start turning them on when you are grooming and just let them hear the noise, then on the next few sessions use them upside down all over the dogs back like a little massage. Give a treat afterwards and in no time at all you'll be able to use the clippers for real.

Brody looks great!! Mine are on the way. .I just had Jasper groomed about a week ago. So, he is good for now. I'm really excited to try these. I have the Oster Clipper Set. But I think I will get used to grooming him and work on him getting used to having the clippers around him. Then, I can slowly switch to the clippers down the road. That's my plan anyway. We'll see.

Thank you for posting this! My daughter's Cocker Spaniel is a sweet heart but hated anything near his face. I didn't have a problem in doing this back and legs but upper neck, ears and face was a nightmare. I did what you suggested running the clippers upside down like a little massage. And it worked like a charm! After two times of doing this his lets me do the face, ears and neck no problem. Just wanted to thank you!
