Bad hair cut

Wow, the b4 & after pics look like 2 different dogs... Why is he tearing like that, did he do that b4 he went to the groomers? If not, they could've hurt his eye. I would take him to the vet to get checked out, they can do a stain & check his cornea. Hope he'll be ok!

Wow bag hair cut for sure. My goodness what where they thinking. You don't do that to a baby. Its clear that this groomer must not be familiar with Yorkies and the proper grooming of them. The only time a dog should be totally shave is if the owner requests it to be. Or if it is completely matted and still only with the owner consent. I am so sorry this happened. next time be sure to give strict instructions on what exactly you want done. I'd even write it down for them.

To answer your question if it grows at the same pace as our human hair grows it would be about a 1/4 inch a month.

The eye teats were honestly the first thing I noticed, but they could have gotten shampoo in your baby's eyes. Yorkies are born with their hair very short, so I don't think it will take longer than how old he is now. Additionally, the hair generally grows faster in the summer. I'm surprised your breeder didn't stress all of the precautions necessary before all shots are given. It is so overwhelming when you are getting a puppy, particularly your first, so it's understandable why you couldn't have known.

Gorgeous baby any way. I always wondered what yorkies would look like shaved back like a short haired dog, cute.
But don't worry it will grow back before you know it.
I always give my groomer strict instructions as to what I want and how they cut and it is written so there can be no mistakes or misunderstandings but it took me a couple of years before I have found my perfect groomer and my George likes going too which is such a bonus as he used to try and run the other way when we got to the door.

I was going to say this exact same thing Someone who shaves a puppy's face like that clearly has no idea how to properly groom a Yorkie. So sorry this happened! The good news is, it will grow back

So how's the little guy looking? How's the eyes???? Keeping eyes clean is a project for most of us. I use Baby water for Deuce to drink and I swear it helps to keep his eyes clean. I also clean him every day.

It's all about grooming our little guys.
