I know,I know!!!! Luma has been so wound up since yesterday, I cant get her to sit still and get a good pic. We're going to the dog park later so maybe I can get a decent action shot, really shows off the cut :) sorry for the wait! Lol

Okay, this pic does not do the cut justice, but here ya go. I'll take more later. It looks absolutely beautiful when she runs, it looks like she flows...I didn't need to worry about her silky leg hair looking too sparse...it looks gorgeous to me! I love her face shaped up a bit like this.

I had them take a little off her topknot. :eek: very happy with the cut besides the fact that I forgot to tell them to leave a bit on the tail. :thumbup:

OMG!! I LOVE IT! Carmen she looks soooooo good!! Yeay, I'm so glad this had a positive outcome. Usually when you get that first "shave down" and it doesn't look as planned it is hard to try it again. She looks perfect! You can see that cute little face and her little body!! :thumbup: Love it!!

How does Tony like it? Does Luma act like she likes it too?

I love the tail shaved like that.. Just wait until you see that cute little tail wag back and forth it looks so cute!

Carmen - Luma looks amazing!! That cut really looks great on her! And, I love how the face is shaped up. She's gonna have one cool summer :)

Yes, she really seems so happy! Her favorite thing to do is RUN! I think she thinks she's more aerodynamic now :cool: haha! Tony kept saying he didn't want me to do it, she has pretty hair, why cut it, but he picked her up from the groomer and was smiling sooo big! He says he loves it and of course I was right ;)

We shaved her down *completely* last summer and it was cute but I missed her hair. This is the perfect balance to me!!! And grooming is a SNAP! Looks cute with clothes, no matting with her harness...LOVE it! :D And she still looks like my little girl :)

That’s great! Glad to hear Luma is happy with her new cut too because that is important.

Every time Peanut gets shaved he has this real cool attitude LOL. It’s really silly.

Tony is the total opposite – My DH would rather have Peanut shaved, even in the winter months when I let Peanut get shaggy he will say “ ok it’s time to groom him, he is getting too shaggy”.

That cut is a really a perfect balance for the ones that want a little of both. See you were all worried about her legs and they look great!! Peanut has those long legs too, so my groomer will keep them a little shaggy and you can’t even tell!

Isn't it crazy how important the hair on our Yorkies are to us!??! LOL

Do you know what type of hair Rosie will have?

Oh, she looks so cute! I'll be she loves a good scratching now that you can get to her body. When Tibbe is cut close, he just loves a good tummy and back scratching. Well, he always does but seems to enjoy it a little more when freshly barbered. Luma looks so cool and ready for summer. Her flowing coat is beautiful. She's very, very pretty! A lovely girl.

Their sire and dam both have what I would say is silky modified. Luma got really good hair. Rosie's seems even finer than what Luma's was at that age...so maybe they will turn out the same. I'll prob keep Rosie in the classic "puppy cut". I hate that black puppy coat...and I doubt I'll ever try to grow a full coat again. :rolleyes:

I think Luma's coat is stunning.

Do you think Rosie will stay black or darker.. like a Katie Scarlette or do you think she will be blonde/grey like Luma? I wasn't able to see Peanut’s parents so it was interesting watching his colors turn, and turn and turn- he kept getting grayer and grayer and blonder and blonder LOL Just like Luma.

Arghh I hate when you type out a response and your internet craps out!!! Basically I think Rosie will end up looking a LOT like Luma, even though she does have a darker face now. It's already breaking color and showing blonde on the face and silver on the body. I really love the darker faced yorkies like KS or Mia and Allie (I think KimInMD?) :) Peanuts parents must've been cutiepies because he is a good looking lil guy :)

You know what I do, if I know I have been typing long enough where it will shut down- before I push send I will copy what I have down.. then if I have to re log in I will go to the thread and paste it!! As long as you copy it and don’t copy something else it will be there.. Works every time for me!!

Oh ok, well that would be cute if they were the same colors!! It will be interesting watching her grow and turn her colors. I also love the darker Yorkies too, KS is such a doll- it was interesting watching her grow! Aw thanks, It bothers me I didn't get to see his parents, I think that would have been really cool to see. However it is what it is LOL, My little stinker will be 6 May 25!! :(

AWWWWW Luma looks absolutely adorable. I know you will just love and want to keep her this way all the time. Just let the hair on tail grow out and don't have it trimmed.

I had my Willow done like this last year and then decided to let her grow back out, well Willow seemed to hate it, so at last weeks grooming appt, I had her cut back this same way again, and she has so much pep in her step, like she was saying thanks Mom. LOL
