| So disappointed I just got back from having Chloe groomed. I went to a new place in town that our exterminator takes his yorkie to. He said they did really good. They made her face look like a schnauzer. I just wanted her trimmed up, not chopped up. I know it will grow back. When you spend $40, you expect to like what you pay for. Ok, I'll stop griping now. So, if I wanted to groom her myself: What all do I need? Thanks so much. I'd post pics, but can't figure out how on here.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I feel for you, I groomed Joey the first few years because I was very fussy, I just think that the hair around the face can change their looks so much that they look like a different dog. I decided to get Joey a special cut a few years ago and was able to go to his breeder and I've never looked back, she’s groomed him ever since. It's so wonderful leaving him there and knowing that when I pick him up, he's going to look like a million dollars. (I wish she could do my hair!) If I were you, I’d cut out pictures of cuts I like, and especially facial cuts and show it to the groomer. Make notes on the picture too so that she won't have an excuse for not remembering something. Take a picture of him now, and take a picture of him as it grows out when you start to like it more. You just need to be able to communicate what you like to her and if she still can’t do it, find a place that can. The equipment you need depends on what type of hair cut you like. YTCA has a grooming page, that's pretty informative and has some tips. The body is a modified schnauzer, but the face isn't schnauzer like at all. Yorkshire Terrier Club of America Grooming

| sorry your not happy with the grooming. i keep thinking i want to bring my three then i think oh gosh what if i hate how they look!! at least when i do it i have no one to blame but myself. i use a good pair of andis clippers with attachments and have a pair of scissors. you may want to get ear powder also to help remove the inner ear hair with ease. there are many vidoes on youtube showing you how to groom with clippers if you wanted to take a look. good luck.
