| Hates Baths... Hello, My Gracie hates getting bathed. I have done it twice so far and I use warm water (not too hot) and try to gently ease in to it, but she hates it. She tries to jump out and runs to the other end of the tub... Is there a way to get them use to it or even like it? My jack russell doesn't like getting bathed, but he will stand there and tolerate it until I am finished. The funny thing is, he will go swimming and chase after his ball or go in the pool I have in the backyard (if the ball is involved too). Any advice would be great. Thank you. |

| Both of my pups hate baths. Ella & Lily will tolerate it, but I don't think they will ever like it. I would suggest not to get the water in her nose. I believe over time she will learn to tolerate it more.

| Blazer started out hating his baths, he would try to jump or or run away but I was stern and always kept one hand on him so that he wouldn't be able to go anywhere and now he stands and tolerates bathtime. Just keep trying, it'll work out! =)

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Both of my dogs started out absolutely hating baths & would squirm all over trying to escape ... but with a lot of patience and time they eventually learned to tolerate it. I don't think mine will ever like it either, but I think that your pup could learn to tolerate it as well as time passes and she gets more baths. |

YT 2000 Club Member | Max and Teeka are not crazy about their baths, but tolerate it. I always talk in a soothing voice and let them know what good puppies they are and that seems to calm them. Of course after the bath and grooming, they get a treat!

| Mandie hates baths. I wouldn't say she tolerates them because if she could, she'd bolt! She is a wiggle worm and giving her a bath is the best work-out I get all week. I have super thick hair - by the time I am done bathing this little 5.2 lb dog, the underside of my hair is SOAKING wet...along with my shirt. I get wetter bathing her than my 68 lb dog. LOL
