| This haircut is driving me NUTS! Okay, So I took Brody to the groomer yesterday. I posted pics in the picture forum, but I attached the few that really show off the cut. The bangs are so blunt it's driving me CRAZY. The cut looks okay from the front, it's the side that bothers me!!! I thought I would wake up and they'd be more settled into a natural look, but nope! Is there any trimming I could do to fix it? Any recommendations at all? Thank you!

| Do not cut his bangs...put your scissors away! Give his hair about a week to relax after being cut... wetting them may help...

| okay okay.... scissors away. I probably would just end up making it worse anyway!! I tried wetting it yesterday, but still looked the same . They must have done some sort of super blow dry because his hair is never this straight!

| Blow drying while combing or brushing will straighten out the hair... they may have used an after bath hair product on him too...

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I think he looks so cute. The only thing I might try is cutting some of the top part a little shorter so it is more spiky looking. That's what I do with Pixie. The hair grows out so fast on the bangs so if you just wait a couple of weeks it will look less blunt.

| Aw...still looks so cute. I do think this is pretty much the visor cut on the bangs. I tried Zhoie like that when she was younger, but hers really bent forward...then I tried trim shorter and oh my gosh...it was bad. So, don't trim...just wait and they will grow.

| I sometimes watch my groomer working on her clients. She shows Shih Tzu's and has a lot of Shih Tzu clients. Many of them she does that visor cut on. That is what they did to your fella. They comb the bangs down and cut them straight across just like you would a human. To me it looks very unnatural and before you know it they are hanging in the eyes. Ask your groomer not to give you fella a visor and to use the clippers up there instead. It usually looks very much more blended in when they use clippers. |
