| Make it pleasurable for her-use a high value treat when you brush her, give her tiny pieces as you brush. Tell her how pretty she is, what a good girl she is, and give a special treat when you're done. Jaeger used to hate being brushed, then he tolerated it quietly. He is now back to hating it again because I spray his coat with conditioner, but he sits quietly and enjoys his praise and treats. I'm not sure how you bathe your dog, but i wouldn't just 'put her in water.' Because he is small, I bathe Jaeger in the kitchen sink-the sides are deeper to discourage jumping. I run the water warmish (yorkies don't tolerate hot or super warm water well) in the opposite sink and set him on a plastic grippy mat in the dry sink. With one hand on him at all times, I use the sink sprayer to wet him, lather shampoo in my hands, shampoo and massage him, then rinse him with the sprayer (its a gentle spray.) I give tiny bits of high value treats during the bath and tell him what a good boy he is. I then wrap him in a towel, hold him and pat him dry on my lap, take the towel off, let him shake it off, dry him, then brush again. He doesn't LIKE grooming time but he tolerates it really well |

| Peanut Butter helps me... One other thing I do (in addition to also bathing in the kitchen sink as the previous poster commented) is that I take a little peanut butter and smear on the side wall of the sink for my girl to "enjoy" as soon as she goes into the water. I usually run about 2 inches worth of water- up to the knees then add the water as I'm wetting her down. My girl doesn't mind the water, but she does despise the hairdryer! Good luck and hopefully yours will begin to enjoy it.
