| More cotton coat questions So I tried looking through some old threads but I'm still a little confused about the whole cotton coat thing. Also I know yorkies change color until 3 yrs but after 6 months arnt they supposed to at least loose thier puppy coloring? My Molli is now 10 months old and she is as black as the day I got her, only the hair on her head seems to have changed at all. Her coat is also thick and still kind of curly like it was when she was a puppy. It also seems to mat very easily. I usually keep her in a puppu cut but even still the mats pop up. Her hair is soft but for sure more fluffy than my other yorkies. So my questions are: Does she have a cotton coat? Will she always be puppy colored or can she still have major color changes at this age? And what do I do to keep the mats from popping up? Thanks This is what she looks like:

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | My guess is that she does have a cotton coat and she will stay dark. Usually the cotton coats stay dark and don't change like the silky coats, except the head changes a little. Mine is also a cotton coat. here she is at 5 months and 5 years.

| Before I got Molli I thought all yorkies lost thier black, I love that she will always look like a puppy I use pet head shampoo, is there a leave in conditioner or detangling spray that works well?
