| Cutting a floor length silky coat, any one have before/after pics? I am itching to try something different on Jesse. He has a floor length silky coat that grows like a weed. I am afraid to leave him at a groomer. There is no one in my home town I trust so will have to do the cut myself. I love the cut with the shorter body and hair left longer on the face and legs. I'm just finding it hard to do the initial cut, you get so attached to the long hair, at least I do! Anyone care to show pics of their silky coated babies after they had their cuts?

| My Olivia's hair grows like that. I sometimes think of cutting it, but honestly I would never do that short body, schnauzer looking cut. I think it is dreadful on a yorkie. I know lots love it...just not my cup of tea. If I ever cut Olivia's it will be short all over! Puppy cut or teddy bear...whatever you choose to call it.

| Here is a picture of my Shorty, taken at the groomers about 6 or so years ago. Since he over 11 years old now I keep his coat much shorter. I love keeping the coat shorter on the back but longer on the sides and legs.
