| Advice on Conditioner I have started using Minksheen on Rosie since it is summer. It says that it has a coat conditioner in it. However, I think she still needs some kind of extra conditioning. For you that use Minksheen, do you use a conditioner? And do you use a regular conditioner or a leave in spray conditioner? I appreciate any suggestions!

| I had read up on PEK here and gave it a try. It is amazing stuff! I also bought the mink oil and added it to our regular shampoo and it's like liquid silk.

| I use Pantene Pro-V Fine Hair Solutions Conditioner, Dry to Moisturized after the Minksheen. It works great! I'm trying to grow ZoE's hair out & minimize breakage & this seems to do the job.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Does Mink Oil actually contain anything from Minks (the animal) - or is it just called that bc of the sheen it imparts?

| I use the IV San Bernard PEK Conditioner...love love love it...I also use the IV San Bernard Mink oil...I leave the conditioner in for 15 to 30 minutes than I rinse rinse rinse really good...I towel dry, than I take a few drops of the mink oil and rub it all through the coat good...than I blow dry...and believe it or not I have a small bang flat iron and I flat iron Bella coat cause her coat has a little wave to it and I find that flat ironing her coat...it comes out very shinny & soft and it doesn't mat at all...the brush goes through like butter...I brush daily....I bath them every 2 weeks and it stays shinny & soft...I love it. Its a little pricey $30.00 but well worth it...I've had my bottle for 3 or 4 months now and I haven't even used half of it yet and I have 3 Yorkies so I would say that bottle will last me a good year before I'll have to order more...Its IV San Bernard web site and you must order $75.00 worth of products...but to me its well worth it....I got the PEK conditioner and and the small PEK orange conditioner, apple shampoo and the mink oil...and I like I said I won't have to order again for a while.

| Ziva has a fine slightly wavey silky coat, she does not mat or knot at all. I use minksheen shampoo and than just run a little Biolage(yes, people conditioner- I would buy dog conditioner but use sooo little) watered down, right down her back while I have rinsed only 1/2 of the shampoo out, than I continue to rinse and rinse her. The conditioner gives her just enough extra shine and less flyaway. I keep it away from her head and ears. We are well into flea season and not a flea on the dogs! YAY minksheen!! (I don't use flea treatments- not yet anyway!) |

| Yes, it really does contain mink oil and you have to shake it well before use to disperse the oil throughout the shampoo mixture.

| I use So Spoiled by Tigi on the rare occasion that I condition. Their ingredients seem a bit more natural to me, but I haven't really looked into it. Note to Ann: Tigi doens't do animal testing as far as I know and neither does John Paul Pet (and they donate money to animal related causes). Looks like the milk oil comes from the fatty layer just under the skin when they are killed. So defnitely not a good product for vegan/vegetarian/pescatarian people.

| Sigh. Mink, not milk. Yeah, I'm in here. I promise. Petco carries it around here as do several websites (probably Amazong included). Also, Mimimomo on YT carries Tigi Pet head and this may be one she stocks. It has a very sweet, somewhat coconutty smell.
