| Need advice, mobile groomer coming to house I have a mobile groomer coming to my house this morning. I've only taken Betty Boop once to her shop before she started her mobile grooming business. My question is....Should I have her use the same area that I always use when I groom her? Do you think it will make her shy away from that area from now on and I won't be able to groom her there anymore? I don't think she is going to be too receptive to ANYONE coming into the house. She goes into a frenzy when people visit. Not so sure this is even a good idea. Your thoughts, please.

| My groomer used to work for another mobile groomer that I used. Then he opened his own business. While he was waiting for his own grooming van, he would come and groom Sammy in my dining room. I would sit in the living room so that Sammy would pay attention to the groomer and not me. He never associated the dining room with being groomed. I like the mobile groomer so much better than bringing him somewhere. Good Luck!! |

| Thanks! I think I will like the mobile groomer. It's much more convenient and less stressful for our babies. Right now, Betty Boop will come to the bathroom countertop when I say, "Let's get brushed", and will jump into my arms for me to put her on the counter. I just don't want her to associate this area with stress and for her to lose her eagerness to get brushed and groomed in that area. I'm going to stay in another room, too. I'll see how it goes this morning at 9:30.

| how did it go? so this is a groomer that does it in your house? I am a mobile groomer but I have a self contained van that we do everything in. It's great for the doggies!!!

| I would like to know how it went too. Rosie hates for me to leave her. I take her to an individuals house but I think she would be happy if she was at home.

| Well, the groomer came to the house and she spent about 1 hour with Betty Boop and myself, getting her use to being around her. Boop warmed up to her in no time. We had to cut the visit short because that was the day my mother became very ill and I had to rush to her house. However, I plan on having her come back very soon. I think it is going to work out great! I had met her before when she worked at a grooming shop. I'm not sure if she will ever get a mobile van or not. I sort of like her coming inside to do it........very personal.

Wow! That is great that she did that. I am not sure all of them would be that way. Sounds like you found a great one!!

| When I took Betty Boop to her at the grooming shop last year, I watched and listened to her train a new guy. I was very impressed at how she was training him and, most of all, how she was telling him to listen to the customer. I watched her handle other pets while I was there and the pets had no problem at all with her handling them. I told her she is like a dog whisperer. She is very good. I'm glad I found her.

| Oh, she actually comes in your house? Very cool. My mobile groomer has a van so she grooms him in there in our driveway. I like this because I can peek through the window but he doesn't see me and freak out, LOL. He knows the drill. He's not happy about it but he always come OUT happy and lookin' good.

| We shall see how it works when she actually comes to the house and bathes her. I'm going to stay out of the way so she can't see me. Wish us luck.
