Yes that is a great idea...I'm on a waiting list "since April" with this one mobile groomer I keep hearing about that is awesome and seen her work I love it...I keep calling every month I'm 2 on the list now :D and when I do find a good groomer I will stick with her/him like glue. |
Very informative thread! Loving all the sweet faces! :D |
Great thread! It gives me one more thing to be confused about:confused: I just realized that my groomer cut Max's hair around his eyes really short. I like how I can see his eyes so clearly, but now I'm debating if I should be growing that part out. Before we went to the groomer, his eyes were a total mess and the tear stains were really hard to keep clean. Now he looks neater, but not sure it should be short like this. |

1 Attachment(s) I don't think there is a right way or a wrong way........Just whatever way YOU like your babies to look :D I just prefer the eye/nose hair to grow out and be natural. Someone ask what it would look like on a shorter face. well I still keep the top knot but I keep the beard short and the eye/nose hair long. Here is a pic of Jaden after I gave him his summer cut. My boy in my Avatar is in the same cut. |
funny to see this post. i just cut my boys hair out of his eyes today , i was so desperately trying to be patient letting it grow out but i could not take looking at his eyes water from all the hair |

I've sort of thought about dyeing him black, or midnight purple to give him an alter ego - from the palest yorkie ever to the darkest! |

I dyed her for Halloween with a spray on food coloring i bought at a Michaels. It stood out really well on her tan legs and head. Her head also has black and grey in it so that didn't cover as well but it still blended nicely. It washed out of her head completely that very night but her legs are taking a little longer. Of course it doesn't help that the past two times i've washed her i've used a new color enhancing shampoo that i was dying to try on her coat. If i were to do an all over dye job i'd use Manic Panic and run it through the bathing system at work. To do sections only, like ears, tail, or leg pom poms, I would use gloves and a brush to paint it on the sections i wanted colored and wrap that section in foil to let it set in like we do when we get highlights. |
Ha, that's awesome. And very creative! I don't have any ideas that are that good, and I've been thinking about this for a while. |
Funny stuff! I know someone who dyes her pitt's hair pink so that people will be less inclined to back away from him. He is the sweetest pup ever, but people don't realize it. She thinks pink makes him less intimidating. hah |
Love this post, i have been meaning to ask this question. I have been trying to grow both Tucker's and Roxy's eye hair out and were in the horrible hair in the eyes faze. Unfortunately the last time I took Tucker to the groomer I had his eye hair almost all grown out and she cut it. My mistake for not telling her, but so far I have not given up on growing it out. |

Once your over the hump you'll be glad you waited. |

EXACTLY!! I hate it as soon as I have Tucker and Roxy's hair up nice and mostly out of their eyes they start playing and it all goes down hill there. haha |
Does no one else have trouble even when the hair is long? I waited so long to get Thor past the stage when it was sticking into his eyes, but it seemed like the longer it got, the worse it was. Like the hair right under and to the side of his eyes would end up in his eyes all the time. And it was even worse when it was long, because the stuck hairs would be super long too. |
